A review article as long as 30 printed pages was published in Advanced Materials 2013. It summarizes research of the group of Professor Ding for about ten years based upon their unique surface patterning techniques. The authors also reviewed pertinent work by other groups all over the world and shed new insight into the field of cell-material interactions.
